Kathryn Zazenski

The following works are based on the visual manifestation of sound. I started working on this project at the Vermont Studio Center in March 2009 surrounding my interest in the power of our sounds and their relation to communication. This body of work is composed of recordings of my voice;
I hand-stitch the visual patterns that are created by the words that I say. The titles indicate the phrases, the dimensions reference the stitched areas only.
